My life-long fascination with the outdoors has taken me across the U.S., and to other countries. I’ve been able to hike/backpack in such places as the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Acadia, parts of the Appalachian Trail, and in Ireland. While living for a short time in Las Vegas, I met Patrick and several other people who introduced me to St. Baldrick’s.

I volunteered for their March head shaving event at McMullan’s, and have been a supporter ever since. Patrick came up with the idea to work St. Baldrick’s into our plan for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Climb for Five was created for our climb, and successful summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

In 2012 I successfully climbed Mt Elbrus with the team (Europes Tallest Peak) Via the North Route and I look forward to climbing and conquering Rainier in 2013.  You see in 2011 on the 2nd climb with C45 on Mt. Rainier I had to stop at 12,500 and turn back but that hasn’t dampened my spirits and I aim to conquer this mountain this year.

I am honored to be a part of such an extraordinary and worthwhile cause.
