First Climb With Team:
I’m always looking for new challenges. Born and raised in Bend, Oregon I had plenty of opportunity to get outdoors and play! My dad took me climbing at a young age and I’ve enjoyed it ever since.
I moved to Las Vegas in 2008 to start college at UNLV and graduated with my degree in criminal justice May 2012. I also completed my EMT-Basic this past December.
Throughout this time I’ve been fortunate to work for the National Park Service where I met my best friend, Randy Lavasseur. He mentored me at work and we always trained together at the gym.
We completed a few tough mudders, coached high school wrestling, and we were always looking for the next challenge.
This past December his fearless son, Enzo (2) was diagnosed with leukemia. The onset was rapid and this was Randy’s toughest challenge yet. Enzo is still battling cancer and this illness makes me feel helpless.
I want to help kids like Enzo and their families. Being a member of this team is an honor and I hope to pay tribute to Enzo’s warrior spirit by climbing Mount Rainier. This will be my first ascent up the mountain, I want to complete this journey with a purpose and make an impact on anyone who is or has been affected by cancer.
